Larry Lahman: False Claims Qui Tam Whistleblower, Class Action Litigation Lawsuits & Bankruptcy

Larry D. Lahman

Larry Lahman has had a unique and widely varied practice representing individuals in the bankruptcy courts, against large corporations in class action litigation and in lawsuits involving the False Claims Act also know as Qui Tam or "Whistleblower Lawuits".

Larry has lectured and written widely on qui tam cases and actions by whistleblowers under the False Claims Acts. His most recent article on qui tam cases and the false claims act "Bad Mules: A Primer on the Federal and Michigan False Claims Act" appeared in the November 2009 issue of the Michigan Bar Journal. The Michigan Bar Journal is a statewide publication sent each month to more than 38,000 Michigan lawyers.

An earlier article Bad Mules: A Primer on the Federal False Claims Act was originally published in the Oklahoma Bar Journal at 76 OBJ 901. The Oklahoma Bar Journal is a statewide publication sent each week to more than 10,000 Oklahoma lawyers who are members of the Oklahoma Bar Association.

He has been instrumental in recovering nearly $30 Million for his clients over the last four years as the senior partner of Mitchell & DeClerck. Founded by P. C. Simons, a former Attorney General of the Oklahoma Territory in 1906, Mitchell DeClerck celebrated its 100th year in the practice of law in 2006.

Larry was a parachutist and infantry officer with the U.S. Army Special Forces – the Green Berets – involved in combat operations in Vietnam and Cambodia and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves. He holds a Combat Infantryman's Badge, a Bronze Star, the Air Medal and other awards and decorations for his military service in Vietnam, Cambodia, Korea and Panama.
